This series was created by layering vintage vernacular photographs on top of my original photography, found photos and collected ephemera to envision a future collaged together with our own fumbling courage and scraps of residual love and guidance from our ancestors.

We live through them- their courage, perseverance and hope ensured our arrival- and they live on in us- their strengths in perilous times become our survival. We come from a long line of survivors. Do not for one moment underestimate them or yourself.
