Todos Santos

In this series- “Todos Santos,” I use found vernacular photographs layered with my original photography and collected ephemera to tell the stories of Women and the importance of family, by birth or by choice to anchor us in troubled times. I used many paper collage elements to show the "paper trail" of our matrilineal ancestry innate in us, that will guide us if we trust in our intuition and quiet the world long enough to listen. Our mothers and daughters, sisters, and friends create a safety net of survival in this life and our ancestors from the past give us courage to show up as our truest selves, having left for us and IN us an inheritance of strength and wisdom. Our connection to Mother Nature is the very crux of it all and a vital red thread that runs through the world, offering us a way back to ourselves if ever we have lost the way.
