My peaceful advent calendar
I felt the need for a calm, meditative December- a sense of going inward into the comfort of a cozy, quiet home, time for journaling, reading and reflection on the year that was and dreaming into the year ahead. Planting seeds, gestating new ideas in the dark yet fertile underground of winter.
To that end, this Solstice series uses images from my own archives, reworked and layered to create something new. Recycling! This has allowed me to gift myself the entire month of December "off" to rest and reflect while still allowing me to express myself creatively. I hope these moments of magical nature counting down to the winter solstice offer you a quiet place of stillness amid the commotion of the outside world.
